Job Description
The communities of Barrhead and Westlock are currently looking to recruit a Visiting Specialist to work alongside the local community Family Medicine physicians and provide services in Pediatrics at the hospitals. The ideal candidate will visit the communities approximately 24 times per year, 2-4 days per visit, split between the two communities. The Visiting Specialist Pediatrician would be receiving referrals from the physicians in Barrhead, Westlock and its surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will visit the communities approximately 24 times per year, 2-4 days per visit, split between the two communities. The Visiting Specialist Pediatrician would be receiving referrals from the physicians in Barrhead, Westlock and its surrounding areas.
This position will require the selected candidate to sign a Visiting Specialist contract rendering their services.
Qualifications:
Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) or proof of Eligibility for Alberta Licensure required (to be included with application)
· Must be licensed to practice as a Pediatrician Specialist per CPSA Standards
· Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
Candidate must have hands on experience offering Pediatric services within the past 1-2 years. Experience offering these services as the sole provider is required.
