Physician Retirement Succession Opportunity – Rural Full Scope Practice

Our physician group have worked at the Hôpital de Mattawa Hospital for 30+ years, which in itself speaks volumes of the supportive and collaborative organization we are proud to promote!  

Our centralized Health Hub integrates emergency and inpatient care, comprehensive primary care and long-term care all under the one roof of our modern and newly constructed facilities.

Comprehensive Primary Care: The Mattawa Family Health Team provides our physicians (Family Health Organization) with allied health professionals to help focus on population health and chronic disease management.  Your practice will be supported by a Nurse Practitioner, Social Worker, Dietitian, Physiotherapist, RPN and a staff of well-organized and knowledgeable administrative support.  You will take over the existing 900 rostered patient of our retiring physician.

Long Term Care: Our physicians follow their patient’s life journey and also share the workload in the Algonquin Nursing Home, our Home has a total of 73 residents who are divided amongst our 4 physicians.  

This position is eligible for a Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Incentive plus a local municipal retention incentive.

Mattawa is located 40 minutes from North Bay, 3 hours from Ottawa and 4 hours from Toronto.  Ski Antoine Mountain, play Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort or hike Algonquin Park.
