Deep River & District Health is requiring URGENT locum coverage in our Emergency Department in the coming weeks: 

- Sunday, March 1, 2026, day shift 0600-1800 hrs

- Monday, March 2, 2026, day shift 0600-1800 hrs

Competitive hourly rates with a seasonal hourly top-up paid, as well as 10% of shadow billings and 100% on all third party billings.

Onsite accommodations and in-house meals available to be coordinated. If preferable to stay off-site and interested in the block of shifts, this can be arranged.

Typical travel to Deep River is by personal vehicle and mileage is reimbursed.

New grads welcome. If able to arrange prior too if it is your preference, a buddy shift can be arranged to ensure you are comfortable in the department and supported.

Second on call physician to the ED available locally to contact as needed.

Deep River is located two hours east of Ottawa and two hours west of North Bay, along the Ottawa River and Trans Canada Highway. Come experience small town charm with

close access to those larger city amenities. Our rural Emergency Department is comprised of two resus beds within a negative pressure space, two observation beds, one procedure room with two beds, four treatment rooms and conference space. On average our volume is 35-42 patients in a 24 hour period with the majority being CTAS 3-4. DRDH has onsite diagnostic imaging and lab support. New POCUS system available at bedside in the ED.
