ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Priority Health Clinic Group is looking for a sports medicine physician to join our clinic in Pickering, located in the Jerry Coughlan Health and Wellness Centre. We are building a dedicated sports medicine and joint injection service. We already have a very large referral base of patients who would benefit from sports medicine care, so you can expect to be busy from day one.

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

- Sports medicine and musculoskeletal assessments

- Hyaluronic acid (viscosupplementation) injections

- Arthrosamid (polyacrylamide hydrogel) injections for knee osteoarthritis

- Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments

- Other joint and soft-tissue injections, as you see fit

- Exercise prescription, injury management and return-to-play/return-to-work planning

The practice combines OHIP-insured services with private-pay procedures.

WHAT WE OFFER

- A strong internal referral stream from our group of family physicians and our busy urgent care centre

- An established, well-run clinic with a large patient base

- Diagnostic imaging in the same building, plus on-site X-ray in our urgent care

- Full administrative support, including booking and referral coordination

- Flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time or sessional days)

- The clinic is open 7 days a week

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- A physician who holds, or is eligible for, an independent practice licence with the CPSO

- CCFP with a Certificate of Added Competence in Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM), or a CASEM Diploma in Sport Medicine, preferred

- Experience with injection procedures; ultrasound-guided injection skills are an asset

- A physician who is interested in building and growing a sports medicine program
