Surgeon or Physician for a "Lumps and Bumps" Minor Procedures Clinic – Pickering, ON

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Priority Health Clinic Group is recruiting a surgeon or procedurally skilled physician to run a "lumps and bumps" minor procedures clinic at our Pickering location, in the Jerry Coughlan Health and Wellness Centre. We have a large volume of referrals waiting for these procedures, so you can expect a very busy clinic from the start.
We welcome applications from:
- General surgeons (FRCSC)
- Plastic surgeons (FRCSC)
- Dermatologists (FRCPC)
- Family physicians with extensive experience in office-based minor procedures
COMMON PROCEDURES
- Excision of lipomas
- Excision of epidermoid (sebaceous) and pilar cysts
- Excision of benign and suspicious skin lesions, with primary closure
- Punch, shave and excisional biopsies
- Incision and drainage of abscesses
- Ingrown toenail procedures (wedge resection, partial nail avulsion, matrixectomy)
- Removal of skin tags, warts and seborrheic keratoses
- Removal of foreign bodies
- Wound management and suturing
- Freedom to add further procedures that suit your skills and training
WHAT WE OFFER
- A large, steady referral stream from our group of 12 family physicians, our busy urgent care centre and the surrounding community

- A procedure-ready setting, with support for setting up and expanding your services
- Diagnostic imaging in the same building, including ultrasound referral for pre-procedure assessment
- A pharmacy on site
- A collegial, multidisciplinary environment, with internal medicine, dermatology, general surgery and family medicine on staff
- Full administrative support, including booking and referral coordination
- Flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time or dedicated procedure days)
- The clinic is open 7 days a week
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A physician who holds, or is eligible for, an independent practice licence with the CPSO
- FRCSC (General or Plastic Surgery), FRCPC (Dermatology), or CCFP with substantial minor procedures experience
- Confidence performing office-based procedures under local anesthesia
- A physician who wants to build and lead a high-volume minor procedures service
