The Department of Surgery, Alberta Health Services–Calgary Corridor and the University of Calgary
invite applications for the positions of TWO 0.5 FTE Uro-Oncologists to join the Calgary Urology group working primarily at the Rockyview General Hospital (RGH). Qualifications include an MD, certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Urology, and fellowship training in uro-oncology with SUO-accredited fellowships prioritized. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the province of Alberta. The position will aim to commence September 1, 2026.
The successful candidate will become a member of the Section of Urology. Clinical responsibilities
include proficiency in all aspects of uro-oncology with expertise in robotics highly regarded. The successful candidate will have access to Southern Alberta Institute of Urology (SAIU) for clinic space, operative time and cystoscopy will be primarily at RGH. Surrounding hospitals may be included for further resource allocation. The chosen candidates will be required to provide full call coverage as required by the Section of Urology at the Rockyview General Hospital, and in accordance with Alberta Health Services policies.
The surgeon will be expected to apply for a clinical appointment with the University of Calgary,
Cumming School of Medicine, Department of Surgery and to participate in medical student and visiting resident teaching. They will also be expected to take on responsibilities in the areas of
education, research and administration.
