Laboratory Physician/Pathologist salary in Alberta is from $364,597.00.00 to $424,123.00. Starting remuneration will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of training and experience. Relocation Assistance is available.

Remuneration will be based on the Fee-for-Service (FFS) schedule. Approximate wage is $383,511 based on 2022 average.

To receive these benefits, physicians must be members of the AMA or pay a non-member administration fee.

Fee-for-Service; 75%/25% overhead split (physician 75% / overhead 25%)

Clinical service contract (group clinical service contract; turnkey operation with no overhead)

$120/hr (includes charting, paperwork, labs, phone calls and other work) or 90/10 fee-for-service split; physician keeps 100% of private billings, ICBC and WCB. (Alternative Payment Arrangement)

Fee-for-service; MOCAP level 1 payment and after-hours premiums based on the MSP fee guide; travel and accommodation may be provided.

Fee-for-Service; eligible for Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) remuneration including Retention Premium 8.3% and Retention Flat Fee $12,854.88

Longitudinal Family Practice (LFP) or Fee-for-Service (FFS); competitive overhead arrangements (generally 75/25); Doctor of the Day shifts available at select clinics.

Clinic shifts: $1325; 24-hour call shifts: $1975; Alternative Payment Arrangement
