3-week Locum Opportunity in a FHO/FHT Group Practice

A physician with a practice in East Hamilton is looking for a locum to cover the family practice for three weeks, from August 18-September 5, 2025. The ideal candidate will provide support in the practice for 4.5 days per week over the three weeks, covering full days on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and half days on Wednesdays. Coverage will also require inbox management during this same time.

With a roster of approximately 1,800 patients, the candidate can expect to see 20-25 patients per full day plus provide support when needed to the clinic nurses during consultation. Patient records are managed through Avaros EMR and Ocean eReferral is used for external referrals. EMR training is available should it be required.

The practice is part of the Hamilton Family Health Team and receives support from many Allied health care professionals including 2 RN’s (one Full time and Part time), a clinical pharmacist, a registered dietitian, a respiratory therapist and a mental health counsellor. The practice also receives administrative support from the medical secretary and medical receptionist, as well as off-site billing support.

The clinic includes 4 examination rooms, lunchroom for staff, separate staff and patient washroom facilities, and free on-site parking. Located in East Hamilton just minutes from Nikola Tesla Blvd and the QEW, the clinic also has a pharmacy and chiropractic services on-site.
