Job Description
The Division of Allergy and Immunology within the Department of Medicine at Queen’s University invites applications for the position of Academic Allergist/Immunologist. This is a Clinician Scholar role and the successful incumbent’s time will be mainly focused on clinical service.
The Division of Allergy and Immunology provides a full spectrum of allergy and immunology consultative services for patients in southeastern Ontario. The Division provides specialized and general outpatient clinics, an inpatient consultation service, and CTU coverage. The Division is also academically active with the Allergy Research Unit and aims to build a training program in the near future.
The successful candidate will have major clinical responsibilities and will be expected to demonstrate exemplary clinical service. The successful candidate must also demonstrate strong potential for teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as exhibit a strong potential for innovative scholarly contributions (in research, quality assurance, and/or education). The successful candidate must also demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. The incumbent will be expected to make contributions through service to the Department, the Faculty, the University, and/or the broader community.
Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Allergy and Immunology by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Preference will be given to those who either hold or are eligible for certification in Allergy and Immunology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
