The Department of Psychiatry at Queen’s University, is seeking an Academic Psychiatrist to join the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for a combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Applicants should have a commitment to providing exemplary clinical service within an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment.
A track record of experience in teaching and clinical training of medical students, residents and is expected as the successful candidate will participate in clinical supervision of medical students, Psychiatry and Pediatric residents, Child and Youth psychiatry residents and international fellows. Experience in health-related research and scholarship including a record of scholarly activities and peer reviewed dissemination of research are expected.
Applicants should have a focus on child and adolescent psychiatry or a senior academic track record and experience in child and adolescent psychiatry. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding teaching contribution, as well as a proven commitment to providing exemplary clinical service within an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment.
Qualified applicants will hold an MD degree (or equivalent). The successful candidate must have or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Preference will be given to applicants who are eligible for or have specialty certification from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada or the American Board of Specialties.
