Job Description

 

The Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services, Edmonton Zone, invites applications for an Academic Pediatric Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeon. The primary site of practice for this position will be at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. 

The pediatric surgeons within the section of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery provide service to the City of Edmonton and surrounding communities, with specialized care in all aspects of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery has a busy and comprehensive residency and specialty training program.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of Pediatric  Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in a busy tertiary care institution, working cooperatively with a multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will have a job description which will include a commitment to clinical care delivery, education, research and administration. 

 

The successful candidate must hold Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons registration in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (or recognized equivalent), as well as having completed an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology (or recognized equivalent). Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the Province of Alberta. Preference will be given towards those with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a fulltime pediatric otolaryngologist working in a tertiary care setting.

The successful applicant will hold a special continuing appointment in the Department of Surgery, University of Alberta.
