Anatomical Pathologist

Trillium Health Partners (THP) is the largest community-based academic health network in Ontario, serving over one million residents in the communities of Mississauga, Peel Region, and West Toronto. The hospital encompasses three sites – Credit Valley Hospital (CVH), Mississauga Hospital (MH), and Queensway Health Centre (QHC).
We seek two (2) anatomical pathologists with fellowship training to join a dedicated healthcare team providing specialized laboratory services to ten clinical programs and the Regional Cancer Centre.
The successful candidates will participate in our surgical pathology services, including intra-operative consultations, autopsies, and on-call services. Fellowship training in pulmonary/thoracic pathology, cytopathology, gynecologic pathology or gastrointestinal pathology would be an asset, although all interested candidates are encouraged to apply. Interest in coverage of a secondary site group (breast, head and neck, etc.) would be an asset. The successful candidates will participate fully in our quality management program and multidisciplinary cancer conferences. The position is based out of CVH with rotational coverage at MH/QHC.
Teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees is expected. Opportunity exists to participate in clinical and applied research thorough an academic appointment with the University of Toronto.
Remuneration will be in accordance with the Uniform Minimal Level of Compensation (UMLC) for the province of Ontario.
We are seeking two (2) full-time pathologists with training in diagnostic and molecular pathology (anatomical pathology) certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent. Fellowship training or significant experience in a high volume cancer center is required. Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in an inter-professional care model are essential. The candidates should have a demonstrable record in medical education, educational scholarship, and/or research. The successful candidates must possess (or be eligible for) a practice license in diagnostic and molecular pathology (anatomical pathology) without supervision by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
THP encourages applications from Black and racialized persons, Indigenous Peoples, women, persons with disabilities, and people of diverse sexual and gender identities. Although open to all qualified candidates, priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
