The Department of Laboratory Medicine at SHN is seeking a highly motivated Full Time Anatomical Pathologist with a passion for providing the highest quality of care to join the department. The Department of Laboratory Medicine offers candidates a broad cross section of samples receiving over 32,000 surgical cases, 14,000 cytology specimens and 500 bone marrow specimens annually.

Candidates must be licensed to practice with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and hold a specialist certificate in Anatomic or General Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Subspecialty experience in cytopathology, thyroid pathology or hematopathology would be an asset.

In rotation with other members in the Department, the successful candidate will provide on call coverage, general surgical pathology and cytopathology services as well as cover a limited number of hospital autopsies.
