Across our three hospitals and eight satellite sites, Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is shaping the future of care. Our many programs and services are designed around the needs of one of Canada’s most vibrant and diverse communities. We are home to North America’s largest nephrology program, as well as the designated spine centre for Scarborough and surrounding communities to the east. We are proud to be a community-affiliated teaching site for the University of Toronto and partner with a number of other universities and colleges, helping to train the next generation of health care professionals.The Department of Anesthesia at the Scarborough Health Network site is seeking Anesthesiologists to join our current team. The successful candidates will be working with a strong, supportive and collegial group of colleagues in a three-site community hospital
organization committed to providing high quality, comprehensive clinical services.
The successful candidates will be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have successfully completed a fellowship in Anesthesiology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Familiarity with the use of ultrasound for nerve blocks and with basic point of care ultrasound (POCUS) is required. Experience with and/or additional training in paediatric anesthesia would be an asset. An interest in performing nerve blocks for chronic pain would be an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills would be an asset.
