Seeking a 3 to 6 months locum for a community general surgery practice in the Kawartha Lakes region - 1.5 hours north east of Toronto/GTA, 50 minutes from Oshawa. Start Date of July/August 2026 - negotiable. All backgrounds are suitable for this position, however this is an excellent opportunity for new graduates to obtain valuable experience in running an established community practice and surgeons newly integrating into Ontario.

Applicant will take over a full time community general surgery practice including 2-2.5 off-site office/clinic days per week, one OR day (8a-3p) per week, one endoscopy day (8a-3p) per week and one half day (8a-11p) minor procedures per week at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario. Applicant will be expected to participate in a 1 in 4 on-call schedule. Remuneration via OHIP fee for service and Hospital On-Call Coverage (HOCC). Expected annual remuneration exceeds $500,000.

Successful applicant should be comfortable in bread and butter general surgery procedures and upper/lower endoscopy. Advanced minimally invasive experience is an asset but not required. Ross Memorial is a 183-bed small to medium sized community hospital serviced by 5 GP anesthetists, 3 general surgeons, 4 orthopedic surgeons, 2 OB/Gyn, a closed 8-bed ICU and access to 24/7 on site CT and MRI and IR via Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
