The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join an established team at Battlefords Union Hospital in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. This is an excellent opportunity to practice the full scope of emergency medicine in a busy regional referral centre serving North Battleford and the surrounding communities.As a member of the Emergency Medicine team, you will provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages, including the assessment and management of acute medical conditions, trauma, and pediatric emergencies. Physicians work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment that is supported by a range of specialist services, including Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatry, Anesthesia, and Diagnostic Imaging.Battlefords Union Hospital serves as a teaching site for the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine's Medical Education program. Qualifications:
Certified or eligible to be certified in Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM, FRCP-EM, ABEM)- Family physicians with extensive experience working in Emergency Medicine (5+ years) may be considered
Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)Certification in the following: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)Valid driver’s licenseSuccessful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sectorCurrent Canadian Medical Protective Association coverageLegal entitlement to work in CanadaThe start date for this position is negotiable.
