About the Department

Halton Healthcare is currently recruiting EM Physicians for our busy Emergency Departments.

Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) is a large, modern Community Hospital which provides care to 81 000 patients annually. We are the Regional referral centre for Dialysis and Mental Health and have a modern Emergency Medicine program, state of the are equipment and an active Clinical Teaching Unit for McMaster University Medical Students and Residents. Our ED MD Team is made up of CCFP-EM, FRCP-EM, ABEM and CCFP physicians with extensive experience in EM. Our department has an Internist 24/7 on site to assist with patient management. We also have a Geriatric Emergency Nurse, a Discharge Planner, and ED Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners who help manage patients.

At Milton District Hospital you will be part of a strong, collaborative interdisciplinary team, supported by approachable specialists with access to advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, including PACS, MRI and interventional radiology and 24/7 Pediatrician consultation coverage.

Georgetown Hospital provides compassionate, quality, community hospital care as part of an integrated system of Halton Healthcare. We foresee a significant expansion to Georgetown Hospital in the next decade. Georgetown is part of the Regional Municipality of Halton, located approximately 50 km west of Toronto, and serves the community of Georgetown, Acton, and surrounding areas offering an idyllic lifestyle and access to many large cities.

Successful candidates will have a CCFP-EM, FRCP-EM, ABEM, or CFPC-certified physicians who have completed the SEME program and work well with a dynamic team.
