Job Description
Covenant Health invites applications for a Nephrologist to join our dynamic and collaborative team based primarily at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position, with an approximate distribution of 95% clinical service and 5% research activities.
The successful candidate will participate in a broad range of nephrology services, including:
- Inpatient Nephrology Consult Service: Participation in the consult rotation 1 in every 5 weeks.
- Dialysis Unit Coverage: Providing both inpatient and outpatient dialysis coverage 1 in every 5 weeks.
- Community Nephrology Practice: Joining a community-based nephrology office as a partner, with responsibility for outpatient consultations and ongoing nephrologic follow-up.
Optional Clinical Teaching Unit Work: Opportunities may be available to serve as an attending physician on the Grey Nuns Hospital Clinical Teaching Unit, depending on the interests of the successful candidate.
Qualifications:
- MD or equivalent.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- FRCPC in Internal Medicine/Nephrology
- Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the healthcare environment.
- Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.
Qualifications:
- MD or equivalent.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
