Position: Emergency Physician
Department Summary:
The Guelph General Hospital Emergency Group is a democratic, physician-led team supporting a high-performing Emergency Department that cares for about than 60,000 patients annually. We are a regional stroke centre and a level 3 trauma centre with a strong institutional commitment to timely, high-quality emergency care.
Physicians in our group benefit from excellent remuneration through an Alternate Funding Agreement, a collegial and supportive work environment, and equitable scheduling designed to promote physician well-being.
We are academically affiliated with McMaster University with opportunities for interested physicians to participate in on-shift teaching of residents and med students, and to participate in research projects, Emergency Group Highlights:

About Guelph General Hospital (GGH):
GGH is a dynamic, comprehensive acute care facility providing a full range of services to the residents of Guelph and Wellington County. GGH is accredited with Exemplary Standing by Accreditation Canada, a regional provider of general vascular surgery, Regional Stroke Centre, a Level III Trauma Centre, and a designated provincial Bariatric Centre of Excellence.
GGH has about 225 inpatients beds, including ICU and Step-down units. The hospital is well supported by good access to imaging services and inpatient specialty services.

Experience and Skills:
We invite interested applications who are collaborative, transparent, and committed to delivering high-quality emergency care. Candidates must be registered and in good standing with the CPSO and hold CCFP-EM or FRCP-EM certification or have significant emergency medicine experience.
