Welcome to Laurier Medical Clinic, a vibrant and growing primary care practice located just Weston of Toronto in Milton, Ontario. Due to practice and neighborhood growth, we are looking for a dedicated and passionate family doctor to join us.
About Us
We are a solid solo practice ready to grow after establishing our place as part of the Milton Community.
As a well-established practice, we have a reputation for care and excellence. We offer a friendly work environment, with nice people, great patients, flexible hours, and lots of opportunity to grow your practice and possibly become part of an integrated health model with great benefits. Our team includes two doctors, and 3 part-time staff who take care of administration, preparing exam rooms, taking vitals, billing and more.
Milton is 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, and is a fantastic place to live, play, and raise a family.
As a doctor on our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to your own patients as well as covering urgent care when needed.
The role:
• Examine and collect medical histories from patients, order lab tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures as required to address patient's physical and mental health needs
• Consult with medical specialists to provide medical care where required
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
• Preform minor procedures in clinic (skin biopsy, suture removal, etc.)
• Vaccinate patients
• Promote healthy living by counseling patients regarding lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and accident prevention
About you:
1. you understand the value of well-rounded primary family care as well as being open to urgent care and walk in patients. You welcome treating patients of all ages, including young families and adults in midlife
2. You are compassionate and calm, work well with other staff and doctors, are open-minded and understanding, and are familiar with technology in medicine
3. You have a long career ahead of you, want to do primary care, and are happy to commit 40 hours a week to patient care
Compensation
Anticipated income of approximately $30k permonth after expenses (approximately 70/30 split)
Requirements
Doctor of Medicine(MD)degree from a recognized medical school
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario license to practice
College of Family Physicians of Canada membership
Ontario Medical Association membership
