"Purposeful Practice"  - The Wawa Medical Group is looking for part-time or full-time family medicine rural generalists to join their supportive and enthusiastic team.  The Wawa FHT serves the community of Wawa and surrounding area with AHP supports which include NPs, RNs, CDE, physiotherapist, foot care, counselling, smoking cessation, hypertension program, geriatric care, OST, cardiac stress testing, endoscopy program, etc.  Physicians provide ED and hospital coverage to the Lady Dunn Health Centre, co-located in the same new build.  Practice includes low volume emergency room coverage (17-20 patients per 24 hr shift) with NP assist, OH ED Peer-to-Peer, VCC and local physician back-up.  Inpatient coverage (0-2 patients at a time), may include long term care, palliative care, and satellite clinics in the surrounding communities. Lots of variety in the work day, and flexibility to tailor the practice to your liking.  Teaching opportunities available through the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. 

"Time Well Spent" - Remuneration is via RNPGA contract, with low overhead and NRRRI grant ($123,245 over 4 years, front-loaded) for avg 450K first year (with 1 ED shift/wk) . More ED = more $;  Eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness ($60,000). Free housing, relocation benefits and supports available.
