We are a collegial and well-functioning group of 16 Family Physicians plus Allied Health and Staff.  Except for one physician-colleague who works off site, our main location is home to all of the physicians and allied health, making communication and support between teams members easy and effective.  We have dietitians, mental health therapists, nurse practitioners, consulting pharmacists, a health promotor, and other staff who can support you.  This is an ideal location for locum physicians including those who are new to practicing in the area, since it’s easy to ask questions of other physicians and staff.

Locum Dates: July and August 2025. A number of physicians are looking for locum coverage (a couple of weeks up to 6 weeks).

Locum Requirements: 

- Looking for a locum to conduct typical family medicine office appointments, booking 8-10 hours per week (spread over at least 3 days)

- Administrative work is typical for family medicine, and is required from Monday to Friday.  The administrative work can be done remotely.

Roster Size:

- Approximately 1200 patients

- The mix is typical of family medicine, including a variety of pediatric, adult and senior patients.

Compensation Rates:

- $150 per hour for patient appointments.  This amount is paid whether or not the appointment schedule is fully booked.

Plus 100% of all additional payments from OHIP (e.g. extra fees, fees for out-of-basket services such as prenatal appointments, diabetes appointments, non-rostered patients)

Plus 100% of WSIB appointments if paid directly from OHIP

Plus 75% of third party compensation (e.g. for forms, notes, Driver’s Medicals, etc.)

Plus $100 per day (Monday to Friday) to cover administrative tasks and messages (such as reviewing and taking appropriate actions regarding labs and reports, prescription renewals, etc.). I have the smallest practice of the physician group, and typically receive 30-50 messages per day.
