IDEAL Health Group/Orleans Urgent Care Clinic has openings for emergency physicians or physicians with sufficient experience in emergency medicine for our clinic in the growing Ottawa east community of Orleans. 

Physicians must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) with qualifications and experience that complies with CPSO requirements and guidelines.

International Medical Graduate (IMG) Physicians who have at minimum completed the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination are encouraged to apply, supervision can be arranged

Physician income is based on fee-for-service billing to Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and other insurers. All physicians are responsible for their fees to CPSO, OMA, and CMPA.

Our clinic is located next to Highway 174 in Orleans, Ottawa east, and just steps from the LRT station. The Orleans Urgent Care Clinic (OUCC) is a walk-in medical clinic that deals with a full spectrum of medical and minor surgical problems. The OUCC has many of the same medical facilities and equipment available in a hospital emergency department, including a resuscitation room and is equipped to administer initial treatment and stabilization of serious and acute medical conditions such as heart attack, asthma, fractures, dislocations, lacerations and allergic reactions. The clinic also provides the same medical services as may be found in a regular walk in clinic, such as treatment of respiratory infections, skin problems and musculoskeletal injuries, and all this without the need for pre-booking an appointment. With highly skilled and experienced staff, and with on site lab, x-ray, ultrasound, and pharmacy facilities, we are able to treat patients with a variety of illnesses and injuries. Up to 50,000 patients are seen at OUCC each year.

Physician weekday work hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.,  9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Weekend hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The OUCC clinic is closed on Sundays and statutory holidays.
