Job Description
The Department of Family & Community Medicine at Sunnybrook is inviting applications for short- and long-term Locum Family Medicine Obstetrics positions.
The Family Medicine Obstetrics team, made up of 10 enthusiastic and engaged physicians, provides care to close to 300 women a year in a variety of locations across the North Toronto Ontario Health team geography. The responsibilities will include providing intra-partum and postnatal care for obstetrical patients, covering antenatal clinics, and potential for participating the development of additional outreach prenatal clinics in our community. The provider can expect to cover 2 to 4, up to 24-hour shifts a month (shift length varies between 10, 14, 24 hours depending on preference and additional responsibilities).
The successful candidates must hold an MD degree, be eligible for certification in Family Medicine by the College of Family Physicians and have or be eligible for licensure in Ontario. A fellowship in Family Medicine Obstetrics or 3-5+ years of experience preferred.
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include provision of excellent clinical care and clinical teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate learners. The individual must be a strong team player and there will be opportunities to participate in academic medicine.
Anticipated start date is April 1, 2025.
