The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a family physician with Enhanced Surgical/Ob-Gyn Skills to support our obstetrical program and provide physician services in the Kindersley & District Health Centre and Kindersley Primary Health Care Clinic located in the Town of Kindersley.
The Kindersley medical practice includes all aspects of family medicine including internal medicine, obstetrics (caesarian sections), pediatrics, anesthetics, emergency room call and surgery. Visiting services include general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, ENT and psychiatry.
Physicians will provide patient care and on call emergency coverage. This Physician will work closely with nurses, and other members of the health care team to meet the specific needs of this community and its surrounding area.
Kindersley is a vibrant community located in the west central part of Saskatchewan, close to parks and lakes and numerous recreational activities. It is located along Highway 7, the third most traveled highway in Saskatchewan, and a major east-west corridor linking Calgary and Saskatoon. Agriculture, oil and gas are the main industries. Qualifications:
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care. The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the
College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan. Applicants will also hold ACLS certification. In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
The successful candidate must have completed an additional year of training in Obstetrics or Enhanced Surgical Skills training post Family Medicine residency and be eligible for licensure with the
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) and have current
