The hospital is also home to Alberta Health Services organ and tissue transplant program, which is recognized as a national leader in both success rates and transplants volumes.
This program is designed to be a mix of both clinical and research opportunities. Fellows will be expected to participate in regular new patient and follow up clinics as well as on-call services and emergency room consultations, based on the fellow’s interests and department needs. Scholarly activity is also expected, including basic, translational, or clinical research projects carried out with appropriate attending staff guidance. The individual will also provide locum-tenens coverage for the duration of the fellowship. Compensation will be based on Fee for Services for clinical locum services along with a fellowship stipend.
