Royal Columbian Hospital is one of three regional hospitals in Fraser Health offering primary, secondary and tertiary services. With 490 acute care beds, Royal Columbian Hospital provides a number of highly specialized services such as: neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, tertiary trauma, cardiac surgery, internal medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, etc.

Located along the Lower Fraser River, on the homelands of the Halkomelem speaking people, New Westminster is at the center of Metro Vancouver. It has long been a crossroads of people, pathways, and ideas, where innovation and culture are interwoven and celebrated, making this city a great place to live, work, and visit.

Royal Columbian Hospital is currently undergoing a redevelopment that will transform the hospital to a modernized medical and surgical health care campus. This will lead to more opportunities for expansion and enhancement of palliative care services.
