GPA/FPA Anesthetist Locum

We have other one to two week blocks throughout 2025, plus posted dates. Please inquire with recruiter.

Sessional payments, epidural service, after hours HOCC payments are part of overal remuneration, for full details please contact recruiter.  FPA/GPA's are paid $623 per slate (four hours), and after hours if required. Endoscopy anesthesia standby for sedation also available to enhance practice. $1000 per 24 hr call.  Slate count is submitted monthly and GPA's receive their APP on the last day of the following month.  Call is one week from Monday morning (0800) to the following Monday (0800).   We have two local GP/FP Anesthetists that share call 1:3 with consistent reliable locum support. Fort Frances currently has 10 Family Physicians (Two GPA/FPA's), 1 General Surgeon and 3 Nurse Practitioners.  If interested in ER, La Verendrye Hospital (Riverside Health Care) has approximately 17,000 visits per year.  Our GPA's provide safe, skillful anesthesia in a well-equipped step down unit.  C-Sections are provided by local surgeons and two of our FM physicians, with common procedures GI, hernias, breast, skin and soft tissue surgery.  Visiting orthopedic and dental surgeons also require anesthesia services at La Verendrye Hospital.

If interested in Full Time, we are hopeful incoming GPA/FPA will also provide Clinic practice, ER, In-patient, if interested, but this is not required. This is also not required for locum. Incoming GPA/FPA can provide anesthesia only, and add any services the wish to offer.   Great opportunity to design your own practice scope. Site visit/assessment and housing is provided.  Transitional housing available, each home/apartment is located convenient to hospital, grocery and transportation.  NRRRI provides $122,821 incentive over four years. Fort Frances has an excellent airport for air ambulance.  International Falls, MN, our USA neighbouring community offers daily flights to Minneapolis/St. Paul airport via Delta, by jet service.
