Full Time, Part Time or Locum Rainy River Health Centre

Rainy River Health Centre has a full-service Emergency Department offering 24-hour care on a daily basis. 64 slice high resolution CT scanner 90 kms east in Fort Frances. Rainy River Health Centre has 3 Acute Care beds and 20 LTC and a Physician Clinic. Full time anesthesia and surgical coverage available in Fort Frances, La Verendrye Hospital.  One ER Locum will be responsible for ER, Inpatients. 

ER Shifts and Clinic Hours

$200/hr ER/Hospital

Ongoing need for 12 or 24 hour ER shifts through 2025.  Can work one or two shifts or numerous shifts/days in a row.

There are several options for Full Time: Split coverage for 2 Physicians, 2 Physicians would collectively share the combined ER/Hospital/Clinic/LTC responsibility with 1 Physician/ Locum receiving Clinic rate and the other receiving ER rate. Responding to nursing concerns and managing routine and urgent issues as needed. Review and manage diagnostic reports for investigations ordered by preceding locums.  Rainy River Clinic is Monday to Friday, flexible hours. Full Time physicians can provide ER only or Clinic only, or choose to cover the combined ER/Hospital and Clinic. For further information please contact recruiter.

Full Time Incentives

If interested in Full Time ER, Clinic, Inpatient and LTC position in Rainy River, ON (combination of Family Med and ER), the local Fort Frances and District Recruitment Committee offers a Community Incentive for a three to five year return of service and reimbursement for moving expenses. To qualifying family physicians, the Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (NRRRI), provides $132,000 incentive over four years.
