Covenant Health invites applications for a General Pediatrician with special interest in Pediatric Obesity. This position will be based primarily at the Misericordia Community Hospital at the Pediatric Centre for Weight Health (PCWH) in Edmonton, Alberta.

This position holds up to a 1.0 FTE.

Key Qualifications: 
-          A strong understanding of weight bias and its impact on patient care.
-          Knowledge of chronic conditions commonly associated with pediatric obesity, including gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders
-          Prior training in pediatric obesity management is an asset
-          Commitment to ongoing learning and participation in research initiatives

Additional Information:
Call coverage is not required for PCWH. However, if the successful candidate also practices as a general pediatrician at Misericordia Community Hospital, call coverage may be expected.

Required:
·         MD or equivalent.
·         Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
·         Certification in Pediatrics with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
·         Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.
·         Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the healthcare environment.
·         Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.
