Opportunity Overview

 

We are seeking a General Practitioner (Family Medicine) to join a full-time, rewarding practice in the stunning mountain community of Banff, Alberta. This unique role offers a diverse and engaging scope of practice across multiple care settings.

 

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive Family Medicine services and participate in shift coverage and on-call duties at Banff Mineral Springs Hospital.

 

Scope of Practice

 

This position offers a broad and fulfilling clinical experience, including:

  • Outpatient and community-based Family Medicine
  • Inpatient care
  • Acute care services
  • Continuing care
  • Community clinic work

 

Applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).

 

Required Experience & Credentials

  • Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
  • Recent experience in independent Family Medicine practice
  • Proven ability as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) across a broad patient population
  • Experience in both inpatient and community/private practice settings

 

Preferred Credentials

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
