The Practice

As an OBGYN joining our cohesive team in beautiful Vernon, you'll quickly appreciate the professional camaraderie and the quality of life this location offers. Here, your work extends beyond a job—it becomes a passion.

You'll have the opportunity to support the community with on-call consultative Obstetrics, taking on unique cases like twin pregnancies or complex obstetrics. In addition, you'll provide on-call Gynecology services. Your schedule may include home call, offering the chance for late-night work or the possibility of spending most of the night snug in your bed. With our hospital averaging 800 to 900 deliveries each year, you'll work closely with our trusted GP and midwifery partners, fostering excellent professional relationships.

You can look forward to generous OR time, with frequent opportunities to collaborate on challenging cases. Your clinic commitment typically varies from 1 to 4 days a week, and 2-3 OR days each month. You'll be covering a broad spectrum of Gynecology, from infertility care and urogynecology to vaginal surgery and complex laparoscopic cases.

At VJH, you'll have the opportunity to provide a broad spectrum of medical services, advanced care, and utilize leading-edge facilities. As the largest diagnostic facility in the region, your resources will span emergency care, surgery, critical care, maternity and newborn care, mental health services, laboratory services, and rehabilitation. As an integral part of the healthcare community serving a catchment area of 86,000 people, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering top-quality healthcare services to residents and visitors in the region.
