Practice Details

We are seeking an Anesthesiologist to join our team at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH), where you’ll work alongside 10 anesthesiologists and an Anesthesiology Assistant in a supportive and collaborative environment. Our department provides anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, urology, ENT, plastics, obstetrics, and gynecology. We offer labour analgesia for approximately 300 deliveries per year, with an epidural rate of 50%, and operate a Preoperative Anesthesia Consultation Clinic two days per week.

We welcome candidates with experience in both general and regional anesthesia who are comfortable caring for patients aged 2 and older. While we are looking to fill a full-time position, we are open to part-time applicants and are happy to discuss locum opportunities within Interior Health. Leadership development is available through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program.

Qualifications:
Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License (Provisional); Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) (Mandatory); Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) (Eligible)
