Job Description

Northside General Collaborative Practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from August 17th, 2026- September 14th, 2026

Responsibilities

  • delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
  • work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access
  • utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members

Remuneration

  • guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day)
  • additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.
  • accommodations up to $300 per night 
  • travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500)
  • travel time up to 10 hours per week
  • licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS)

Clinic Details 

Northside General Collaborative Practice, located at the Northside General Hospital, is a two-physician practice that offers a team-based approach to family medicine, bringing together a diverse group of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. The practice includes ambulatory care time, a dietitian, existing clerical staff, a family practice nurse, nurse practitioner, MedAccess EMR and social worker, all working collaboratively to meet the needs of the patient population. In addition to office-based responsibilities, there is the opportunity to take on hospital inpatient work, which is low acuity and compensated through the CHIP program. This inpatient work offers excellent remuneration and provides an opportunity for those looking to expand their scope of practice beyond the office setting.
