Regional Cardiology Outreach Opportunities
Cardiac Electrophysiology • Heart Failure • Cardiac Rehabilitation • Preventive Cardiology • Cardiac Imaging
North Bay Cardiology – Hybrid Outreach Practice
North Bay Cardiology is seeking cardiologists with subspecialty expertise who are interested in helping improve access to cardiovascular care across Northern Ontario (North Bay and Nipissing Region) through an innovative collaborative hybrid outreach practice.
This opportunity is ideal for physicians who wish to maintain their primary practice in a larger academic or tertiary centre while developing a rewarding regional outreach practice combining periodic in-person clinics with virtual care and remote diagnostic interpretation.
Rather than relocating, physicians can contribute to the development of specialized regional cardiovascular programs while maintaining flexibility and work-life balance. The new Ontario North Lander train allows direct links between downtown Toronto and North Bay.
ABOUT NORTH BAY CARDIOLOGY
North Bay Cardiology has rapidly grown into one of Northern Ontario's most comprehensive community cardiovascular centres.
Our practice includes:
- Accreditation Canada Accredited Echocardiography Laboratory
- Contrast-enhanced echocardiography and advanced imaging technologies
- Large regional ambulatory rhythm monitoring program
- Exercise stress testing
- Advanced Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET), performed with a new Vyntus CPX metabolic cart
- Regional Heart Failure Program
- Comprehensive multidisciplinary Cardiac Rehabilitation Program developed in collaboration with the University Health Network (UHN)
- Active cardiovascular quality improvement and clinical research initiatives
The practice serves a large regional referral population across Northeastern Ontario with significant unmet demand for cardiovascular subspecialty services.

HELP BUILD THE FUTURE OF REGIONAL CARDIOLOGY
Our vision is to create a sustainable regional cardiovascular network where specialized expertise can be delivered closer to home through thoughtful integration of outreach clinics, virtual care, remote diagnostics, and collaborative multidisciplinary practice.
If you are passionate about expanding access to high-quality cardiovascular care while maintaining your existing practice, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss how your expertise could become part of this growing regional program.
Interested?
If this opportunity intrigues you, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how we might collaborate to improve access to cardiovascular care across North Eastern Ontario.
Whether your interests include electrophysiology, heart failure, cardiac rehabilitation, preventive cardiology, cardiac imaging, ambulatory rhythm monitoring, or other areas of cardiovascular medicine, we are happy to explore flexible practice models that complement your existing academic or community practice.
We recognize that every physician's career goals are unique. Together, we can develop an outreach model that aligns with your professional interests while helping bring specialized cardiovascular care closer to home for patients living in underserved communities.
