Job Description
Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) invites applications for a full-time FRCPC-certified Nuclear Medicine Physician to join our dynamic and dedicated team.
You'll be joining a busy department that operates across two campuses, providing a comprehensive range of services including general nuclear medicine, cardiac imaging, PET CT, and bone mineral density (BMD) studies. Our department is committed to staying at the forefront of medical technology, with multiple new and state-of-the-art cameras and scanners. As we prepare to move into a new, single-campus hospital in the near future, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of nuclear medicine in our region, with all services to be consolidated at this new, cutting-edge facility.
Why Choose Nuclear Medicine at WRH?
- Cutting-Edge Technology: Work with a wide array of new and modern equipment, including cardiac-dedicated cameras, PET CT and multiple SPECT CT scanners.
- A Growing and Evolving Department: Be a part of a department that is consolidating into a new, single-campus hospital with a state-of-the-art facility that includes provisions for a second PET CT.
- Flexible Work-Life Balance: The position offers generous, equitable time off (1 week in 4) and the flexibility to perform up to 40% of your work remotely. On-call coverage for imaging on weekends and holidays is also provided from home (8 am to 4 pm).
- Collaborative Environment: You will be cross-appointed to the Departments of Diagnostic Imaging and Medicine and have the opportunity for academic appointment with the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry.
- Competitive Compensation: The compensation is fee-for-service, with 100% of professional fees being equitably divided among the physicians.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supervising and interpreting a wide range of general and cardiac nuclear medicine and PET CT scans.
- Providing consultation for both outpatient and inpatient therapy, including I 131 and Ra 223 treatments.
- Actively participating in Multidisciplinary Cancer Care Conferences.
- Assisting with department medical management and program development.
Being on-site at the Ouellette campus on stressing days to supervise the stress nurse and EKG technologist.
What you bring to Our Team:
- Certification: Have, or be eligible for, certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC), in Nuclear Medicine.
- Licensure: Eligible for Independent Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively within a team.
- A proactive approach to helping with department management and program development.
Beyond a rewarding career, you'll discover a vibrant and diverse community with a lot to offer. Join us at WRH and become an integral part of our patient-centered care team.
