Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is looking for enthusiastic Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologists to participate in our dynamic birthing and surgical programs to provide intermittent on-call coverage a few days per month as well as potential opportunities for vacation coverage. You will be supported by a collaborative, skilled and innovative team of Nurses, Midwives, Family Medicine Obstetricians and other Obstetrician/Gynecologists.
A Centre of Excellence for Rural Health and Education, WDMH offers and encourages opportunities for teaching of medical students and residents through our affiliation with the University of Ottawa as well as an established research program. Come join the WDMH Team!

Winchester District Memorial Hospital
WDMH is a 49-bed community teaching hospital with approximately 800 obstetrical deliveries and approximately 2400 medical and surgical admissions per year. We serve a population of 90,000, with about 80,000 visits per year, of which 24,000 are Emergency Department, 450 surgical in-patients, 4,000 day surgeries, 800 obstetrical deliveries, and 19,000 ambulatory clinic visits. There are approximately 25 full-time family doctors working within the hospital, supported by a robust team of surgical, anesthesia, medical and obstetrical specialists. Many other community family physicians also provide community care or work in the Emergency Department and make referrals regularly to specialists practicing at WDMH.

Winchester is a community in central Eastern Ontario, approximately 30 minutes south of Ottawa, 20 minutes north of highway 401 and 25 minutes east of highway 416.
