BC Cancer – Vancouver is the largest treatment facility within BC Cancer and works in close collaboration with the BC Cancer Research Institute (BCCRI) and Vancouver General Hospital (VGH). VGH is British Columbia’s major referral hospital providing tertiary and quaternary care to patients from both the local Vancouver area and those referred from across BC.

The VGH Division of Hematology offers a wide variety of Hematologic services including care of patients with hematologic malignant disease, thrombotic disorders, immune mediated cytopenia's and other complex hematologic diagnoses.

We are seeking a full time Hematologist with a focus on myeloid malignancy to join our General Hematology group in summer or fall of 2027. The 0.5 FTE BC Cancer Hematology position will be complemented by a 0.5 FTE position through Vancouver Coastal Health. The VCH position will be based on Fee for Service.

Applicants must have completed Internal Medicine and Hematology training and be certified as a Hematologist by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to beginning and continuing their personal learning journey related to Indigenous-specific racism and dismantling systems of oppression, as well as addressing racism more broadly. Shows willingness to articulate and share their learning experiences to contribute to a culture of motivation and inspiration among peers.
