Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) – Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation seek two full-time Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialists to join our team. The new positions will be located at the tertiary Rehabilitation Centre at Saskatoon City Hospital to support a planned service expansion. The independent contract positions provide competitive remuneration with dedicated time for clinical, administrative, and academic duties. The successful candidates will join a collaborative group of physiatrists and participate in neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation services. Outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, inter-disciplinary inpatient rehabilitation care and clinical teaching of residents and medical students are components of the position. We are looking for passionate and patient family centered physiatrists who thrive in an interdisciplinary care and academic setting. Locum physiatry applicants may be considered.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority offers a competitive rate based on compensation levels outlined in the academic clinical funding plan, prorated according to the proportion of full-time service provided.

    Qualifications:

    The successful applicant will have or be eligible for certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or hold American Board certification. Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.

The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training.
