Seeking a Family Physician to provide 6-month sabbatical locum coverage in a well-established, team-based clinic in the community of New Hamburg.

Opportunity Details

• Type: Long-term locum (6 months)
• Start Date: January 2027 (flexible)
• Schedule:
  • Monday–Thursday (regular clinic days)
  • Friday clinic 1 in 4 weeks (paired with weekend call)
• Clinic Hours: 3–6 hours per day

Practice & Team

Collaborative Family Health Organization (FHO) with:

• 4 experienced physicians on-site
• Strong interdisciplinary support including:
  • Reception staff
  • Expanded-role nurses
  • Office manager
• EMR: Telus PSS

Call Responsibilities

• Tuesday evenings: Shared clinic, labs, and message coverage
• 1 in 4 weekends (Fri–Sun):
  • Friday call clinic (12–3 PM)
  • Labs/messages coverage over the weekend
  • Approximately 2–3 hours total indirect care, no in-person call

Compensation

• Daily rate plus:
  • Third-party billings
  • Shadow billing
  • Direct and indirect care billing
• No overhead
