Position Overview
Lake of the Woods District Hospital is seeking an physician to join the General Surgery team to fill one vacancy.
Remuneration & Call
Remuneration: APP
On-Call: 1-in-3
Current Surgical Team
- 2 General Surgeons
- 4 Anesthesiologists
- 2 RNFAs
You will be joining a collaborative and experienced surgical team with strong anesthesia and perioperative support.

Lake of the Woods District Hospital is a full-service teaching hospital serving Northwestern Ontario.
Clinical Resources Include:
- 4-bed ICU
- 3 modern operating theatres
- 24/7 Laboratory, Emergency Department & Diagnostic Imaging
- CT, Ultrasound, and MRI on-site
- Advanced laparoscopic equipment
- Modern breast cancer imaging technology
Our two General Surgeons provide a broad range of full-scope general surgery procedures and are the sole providers of endoscopy services for the region.
Note: C-sections are performed by GP-obstetricians. General Surgeons are not required to provide obstetrical coverage.
Additional clinical and administrative support is available to ensure safe, efficient practice.
