Manitouwadge is Seeking Locums!

Due to 2 unfilled vacancies within the Manitouwadge Physicians Group, we are seeking locums to support our local physicians.  We aim to identify locums interested in providing regular, reocurring coverage to provide consistent care.  We are open to exploring scheduling flexibility and accommodation.  Locums not interested in providing ER coverage can be accommodated with clinic-only coverage.

Join us in beautiful Manitouwadge! Our award winning, fully integrated hospital housing the Clinic, Family Health Team, ER, LTC, ALC, DI, Lab, and Physio all under one roof!  Locums are fully supported by the Family Health Team, located right across the hall.  Great learning opportunity for those who are interested in shadowing our physicians in the ER.  We are a RNPGA community with the highest RIO score (Rual Index Ontario).

Coverage is a mix of primary care clinic, and on-call coverage for ER, LTC and in-patients. We are a low volume community ER. Evening and weekend on-call can be done via telephone dependant on traige level.
Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (with an hour lunch break)
Clinic appointments are scheduled for 15-30 minutes each.

Compensation is blended, clinic coverage is funded through the MOH Vacancy Locum Program or HFO Vacation Coverage Program, and on-call coverage is paid directly from the Manitouwadge Physicians Group. Travel and accommodation stipends available through MOH Vacancy Locum Program or HFO Vacation Coverage Program.

Locums providing weekday ER & Urgent Care coverage can expect approximately $3,590.00/shift + shadow billing earnings.
Locums providing weekend ER coverage can expect appoximately $2,450.00/per 24hrs + shadow billing earnings.
Locums providing Clinic Day coverage can expect HFO/MOH daily stipend + shadow billing earnings.
