We are seeking a licensed Staff Psychiatrist already registered and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Operating within a multi-physician family clinic, you will provide essential shared care and consultation services. This role is ideal for an Ontario-based physician dedicated to improving community mental health access through integrated medical teamwork.

Responsibilities

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for clinic patients.
• Formulate clinical diagnoses based on medical history and patient interviews.
• Order relevant laboratory tests or medical investigations to support patient care.

Treatment Planning and Care Management

• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medical oversight and ongoing psychiatric medication management.
• Deliver targeted therapeutic interventions or refer patients to appropriate care programs.

Collaborative and Shared Care

• Complete clinical documentation and required medical reports in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

• Medical Degree: Graduation from an accredited medical school with an MD designation.
• Licensure: Current, active independent practice license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
• Certification: Fellowship designation or eligibility with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC).
• Locality: Already residing and legally authorized to practice medicine in Ontario, Canada.
• Insurance: Valid malpractice coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
