A physician in a well‑run, 2‑member group practice in North Hamilton is seeking a successor to assume the practice between September 2026 and September 2027 (timing is flexible). As part of a 22‑physician FHO and the Hamilton Family Health Team, this opportunity is ideal for someone who values team‑based care and strong interdisciplinary support.

The practice cares for approximately 1,650 rostered and 100 – 200 un-rostered patients and sees approximately 25 patients per full day through a combination of virtual and in‑person visits. Appointments are generally scheduled in 10–20-minute intervals with extra time allotted for more complex cases.

The practice is supported by a dedicated team that includes 2 experienced part-time Physician Assistants (equivalent to 1 FTE), who assist with patient care, reviewing results, forms, and other clinical duties. Three full‑time medical receptionists and a dedicated practice manager oversee administrative tasks, including billing, reception, and patient bookings. As part of the Hamilton Family Health Team, the practice also receives support from a variety of allied health professionals including a dietitian, mental health counsellor, psychiatrist, respiratory therapist, and clinical pharmacist.

Current clinic hours (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays) support excellent work-life balance. The presence of experienced Physician Assistants and a dedicated practice manager significantly reduces the administrative workload, allowing the physician to focus primarily on clinical care. Each full day includes 1.5 hrs reserved for lunch and administrative work. As part of a large FHO, the practice provides after-hours on-call coverage for the FHO approximately 16-18 shifts (including 2-3 weekends) per year.

The clinic is conveniently located in North Hamilton just 10 minutes from Hwy 403. The practice includes free parking as well as 2 exam rooms and a private office for each physician as well as an additional room allocated for allied health professionals. The office comes equipped with new computers and a streamlined digital workflow that incorporates Telus PS Suite EMR, online patient booking, Wellx patient communication, and AI Scribe tools, all of which optimize the time spent on performing clinical duties.
