Saskatchewan Health Authority – Saskatoon and University Saskatchewan, Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery is seeking a General Surgeon for a 0.6 FTE . The ideal candidate will have a predominant interest in Trauma but will also participate in ACS and be competent in endoscopy. The successful applicant will be prepared to perform intinerant surgery several times a month outside Saskatoon. A Fellowship in Trauma is essential and involvement in further development of the Trauma simulation program is key. . The applicant will need to be an active ATLS instructor and have completed the DSTC and ASSET course. Predominant participation in Trauma Service call schedule as well as the ACS call schedule is expected.Collective responsibilities include clinical care of inpatients and outpatients as well as education of undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. The successful candidate will hold appointments in both Saskatchewan Health Authority and the University of Saskatchewan, where teaching of surgical residents and medical students is integral.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Surgery of Canada (RCPSC) and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
