Canadian Physician Opportunities

Remuneration will be based on the Fee-for-Service (FFS) schedule. Remuneration can range between $300,000 to $800,000 per year depending on the number of shifts, patients seen, education & experiences. Total compensation for fee-for-service billings varies by individual practitioner, and the compensation shown reflects the average amounts for this specialty as reported by Alberta Health.

Fee-for-Service The Practitioner is responsible for purchasing health and insurance benefits. Continuing Medical Education reimburses physicians for eligible continuing medical education costs. Each eligible Practitioner receives a $2,656 annual allotment which can be carried forward for three years.

Contract. Compensation based on a 4-step primary health care compensation grid for 220 clinic days per year (1.0 FTE). Posted salary range: $391,237.00 – $452,949.00. Position is part-time (0.5 FTE); number of on-call days is additional to the 220 clinic days.

The average gross income of an Ophthalmologist in Alberta is $1 508 648.00. Compensation for this opportunity is based on a fee-for-service model and may include additional program stipends. Remuneration will be on a fee-for-services basis through billings submitted by the physician to Alberta Health.
