Contract with VCH; $207/hour (shadow-billing); Alternative Payment Arrangement; no on-call requirement (optional weekend on-call with separate pool of funds)

Physicians recruited to these positions have the choice of being remunerated either through Fee for Service billing or by participating in the Co-Managed Care Clinical Alternate Relationship Plan (ARP). The current gross compensation rate for the ARP is $444, 645 per annum for a full-time commitment (1.0 FTE, or 1928 hours per annum). The Alberta Medical Association is currently revising the Clinical ARP models for Internal Medicine and Other specialties. These could be applied in the future.

Fee for Service Through the Outreach and Travelling Physician Support Policy Visiting Specialists are eligible for monetary supports: The outreach financial incentive, at a minimum, requires one way travel greater than 50kms, and pays at $1/kms up to a maximum 500kms one way. Zonal Medical Affairs will calculate payments using a round-trip amount on a monthly basis. For approved outreach service requests AHS will remunerate mileage/car rentals/taxis, meals, flights and accommodation in keeping with the AHS Travel Policy.

Remuneration for this position will be fee-for-service.

The model is for fee-for-service, and the salary range will range from approximately $250,000 to $500,000 per annum based on service volume and patient load (as per SOMB).

The salary range is based on the Fee-For-Service (FFS) earnings, as per the Schedule of Medical Benefits (SOMB) information published by Alberta Health Salary range of $250,000-$400,000 per annum depending on the service volume and patient load. Note: The overhead structure will be discussed with the candidates who are interviewed.
