The Smithville Medical Centre was established in 1970, and through changes and renovations over the years, became the Smithville Medical Centre Family Health Team (SMC FHT) in the fall of 2008, bringing together the expertise of physicians, inter-disciplinary health professionals (IHP) and support staff continuing to proudly serve the Township of West Lincoln and the surrounding communities.
The FHT is currently looking for a locum physician for 5 half days a week starting May 2025 for 1 full year. Schedule is Monday 9-1pm, Tuesday evening 5-9pm, Weds - off, Thurs 9-5pm, Friday 9-1pm or 1-5pm (this switches from week to week). The physician would also cover own inpatients 2-3 days per week in the AM (this is shared rounds with 1 other physician) at WLMH. 1 weekend call per month.
Compensation is approximately 25-30,000/month with approximately 5-8000/month of overhead. Net is typically above 20,000.

In addition, the clinic support/supervise Learners (ie, medical students, clerks, residents) on their journey towards becoming a physician, nurse practitioner or mental health counsellor.
