Health Sciences North (HSN) is recruiting health care professionals who have a keen interest in affecting change within its dynamic health care system. As the tertiary care referral centre for the entire Northeastern Ontario region, HSN serves a catchment population of over 600,000 residents.
Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario, is seeking a full-time Forensic Pathologist to join the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. HSN is home to the Northeastern Regional Forensic Pathology Unit NERFPU that provides expertise in forensic pathology for approximately 500 routine and complex autopsies annually. The NERFPU supports the work of the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service under the Coroners Act and in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner.

The ideal candidate is an experienced forensic pathologist. Candidates must be eligible for independent licensure through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have obtained or be eligible to obtain specialty qualifications from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
The successful applicant will be expected to obtain academic appointment with NOSM-University (NOSM-U) and support the academic mandate of the Department of Pathology. Research opportunities are also available through the Health Sciences North Research Institute (HSNRI).
