North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking Emergency Medicine Locums and is offering shift flexibility and excellent compensation!

About Us:

We are a 24/7 department staffed by a collegial group of CCFP-EM, FRCP(EM) and experienced CCFP physicians in a multidisciplinary team that includes an NP, RT's, nurses, geriatric ED nurses, a sexual assault program and crisis intervention workers .  Our department sees an average of 160 patients per day, in a fast paced environment.  We are a regional stroke referral center, a level III trauma center and have a large catchment area of smaller surrounding communities.  We have onsite CT and MRI imaging modalities. 

Our team is well supported by local specialists including ortho, ENT, urology, pediatrics, general surgery, anesthesia, obstetrics & gynecology, psychiatry, GIM, nephrology, endocriniology, GI and respirology.  

The organization is affiliated with the NOSM University which provides various opportunities for teaching and mentorship.

Hospital Information:

Circa 2011, NBRHC is a 433 bed facility that houses our well organized 41 bed ED with 2 trauma bays, 4 bed acute care room, easy access imaging and level 1 trauma infusers.

Qualifications:

CPSO Independent license to practice

Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (2 doses)

Remuneration:

Our locums are well remunerated with earnings up to $2700 per eight hour shift (hourly rate, TSLP top up & OHIP billings)

Hospital parking provided

Locums are NSLP Respite + funded:

Travel & accommodation expenses are reimbursed in line with NSLP guidelines

Daily honourarium of $331.78 for clinical days

Travel sessionals in line with NSLP guidelines

Travel honorarium of $331.78 for locum travel days to/from the community
